Display Arch Material List: Everything I Use to Build My Event Displays

Looking to build your own display arch? These are the exact materials and tools I use when creating my foldable event displays. I’ve included affiliate links for convenience so you can shop everything in one place!!
Materials I buy:
1/2″ Maple Plywood (shop here)
Why I choose Maple? It has a smooth finish, it is durable and paints really well.
Wood Glue (shop here)
Hinges (shop here)
You’ll want these exact ones for when you install the foldable legs!
3/4″ Wood Screws (shop here)
Tools I use:
Router + Straight Bit (shop here)
Circle Guide Kit (shop here)
This Circle Guide will give you the MOST accurate arch every single time! I would not skip out on this step.
Circular Saw + Rip-Cut Guide (shop here)
You will need the circular saw to cut down your material for the arch and the legs. The Rip-Cut guide is optional as it offers you a straight consistent cut every time.
Orbital Sander with 400+ grit Sandpaper (shop here)
Maple already has a really nice finish. I like to use 120+ on the edges and then work my way to 400+ grit.
Jigsaw (shop here)
The jigsaw is ideal for cutting the legs and shelf wall. If you don’t have a router, you can also use a jigsaw to cut the arch shape. This particular one is my favorite one out of all the jigsaws I have tested!

What plywood should I use for display arches?
I personally have only desired to use a Sanded or Maple plywood. I steer far away from foam board as its not a durable option.
Can Lowe’s Or Home Depot cut plywood for me?
Yes! I drive a large SUV and they cut my boards down to size so I can fit them in my vehicle.
How do I transport a display arch?
Lay them down flat and facing up!
What size should a display arch be?
My average sizes are 6’x3′.
