Workbench Build

The ultimate workbench is finally finished and I am so excited to share the features of this bench with you. But before I dive in I must give credit where credit is due. I purchased the plans from Danielle over at @TheRhinoHome. The plans were so well done which made it extremely easy to follow. The only alteration I had was adjusting some steps to ensure my specific Ryobi Table Saw and Miter Saw models would be a flush fit. For reference, her plans show the Dewalt saws, however she helps with customizing to fit your specific needs!! Okay, let’s dive into the workbench. I wont be sharing a step by step on how to build this but rather the features of the bench.

Hide-away Miter Saw
Talk about functionality! This feature really helps to maximize your workbench space in so many ways. The miter saw is positioned centered in the workbench which is very helpful. So for example if you are cutting a long piece of trim you can rest it on either side for support. When you are done using the saw you simply rotate your miter to 45degrees, unlock the droppable stand and let it gently down. You then can pop in your square counter piece in the open space so that you have a full working surface while the Miter Saw hides away.
Table Saw
This may be my favorite because this is something I really needed in my workshop. Plywood is very heavy so having a workbench to help support the plywood running it through my table saw was very important to me. Also, there is plenty of space below the table top for a dust collection system. Watch Table saw features here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6mO8YLOrgc/
Mobility
Another great feature on this workbench is the 6 lock in wheels. I like having the ability to roll the workbench out on the driveway when its sunny out or even rolling the bench towards the front of the garage for easy dust clean up. The lock in wheels really hold the bench in place which also makes me feel safe while using my saws.
Extra storage space
This workbench is very large and holds a lot of extra space. For now I plan on keeping the space open however you can get creative and build drawers and extra shelving to really customize it to fit your needs!
